SAP surveyed 2,000 consumers and 300 retailers across the E.U. to explore both perspectives on the success (or lack), of omnichannel retailing. Only 17% of retailers surveyed are fully integrated, which is a startling statistic considering that consumers demanding a seamless experience both on and offline.
48% of those surveyed are concerned about security, which will only grow over time with the GDPR coming into force in May 2018. Retailers will need to ensure they are fully compliant with the GDPR and should already have started their journey towards compliance.
